We at The Coyote Melon Festival realize that in these hard financial times, many members of our communities are finding it necessary to spend less and forego travel. In an effort to continue to provide our communities with affordable family entertainment, and to show our appreciation for the many years of support by our vendors, entertainers and  participants, the Coyote Melon Festival is making a number of last minute changes to this year’s Festival.   

All contest entry fees are being waived. Participation in all contests is free. Competition will be for the coveted and unique Coyote Melon Trophies. All cash prizes are eliminated. Due to the high cost of County food permits, the Chili Cook-Off is being cancelled.

There will be no fee for vendor spaces reserved in advance of the Festival. Any fees already paid will be refunded. To obtain a space, simply call and make a reservation. There will be a $10 late fee for vendors who arrive without a reservation.

Our fund raising efforts in support of Feed The Children will be the acceptance of voluntary cash donations rather than an auction. We are also not soliciting cash support from our many sponsors. We realize times are just as difficult for them as they are for us. We will, however, continue to promote their enterprises.

We will still have the same great entertainment and a great time. Food and beverages will be available. Please join us at this year’s Festival and help us celebrate, FOR FREE, the many good things in our lives. And thank you in advance for your continued support. See you at the Festival!!
